I Stepped Out and Made Friends with the World

Up until today, I saw letting down my defenses and staying open, as letting in the world.....but this morning, in a moment of epiphany, I felt it so differently in my body....it was a huge moment for me....what came up was this - that letting down my defenses could also happen in another way......when I can feel and connect to the life force and the power of that energy in my core, wanting desperately to flow out into the world....blowing all my defenses to smithereens....

So two images came up for me that I experienced in that moment:

1. an image of a river (life force or love or passion) gushing and lashing against the walls of a dam, and then flowing out, and breaking all the walls.....

2. and this - instead of opening the door of my house and inviting things in, I stepped out, walked out, with a strong, yet gentle love in my heart, ready to face and make friends with the world.

And it connects to what I received as a gift yesterday from someone....

That safety for me, is not about 'not getting hurt'...it is about taking a chance, to be bold.

And that makes all the difference.
