This digital story was created by Kate McCarthy about her mom, Maureen McCarthy, who has a fatal lung disease called Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM). Maureen interacts with the world in a completely different way, which to her is a “New Normal.” She shows how even with challenges like poor health and a fatal disease, stress is optional. It’s inspiring to see how she teaches people to create their own “Get Out of Jail Free” card on a daily basis.
